Trophy Hunt

Album Overview

  • NYC's Trophy Hunt is not for the faint of heart. It's straight-up screamo meets grindcore meets math rock with emotion

  • The vocals of Ashe are gut wrenching, her ability to produce such a grinding tone is fucking impressive. Makes us want to clear our own throats after each listen

  • The songs are relatively short, which makes the album easier to get into, they don't drag out the process

  • The Branches On Either Side is more than the traditional grindcore album. There's a ton of swift math rock changeups thrown in and that is what sets them apart. Check out the track "Sunburst" for a great example

Standout Tracks

Tough choice, but we may go with "Gate." This track has so many influences and rhythmic changeups to numb the mind. The vocals are balanced well and all the chaos flows well together.

Brew Pairing

Bengali IPA by Sixpoint Brewing in Brooklyn, NY. This 6.6% IPA has a citrusy aroma, yet has the flavor of Pine that will throw you off at first. Just like this album, once you settle in, its great.
