Skyjoggers

Finland's space juggernauts Skyjoggers are all about sonic exploration through progressive landscapes. Seasons of Uiu, the bands third release, is a melting pot of progressive and space rock. The trio have a knack for blending driving heavy riffs with cosmic progressive rhythms. Just check out the track “C.M.H,” this tune has an ethereal start than morphs into a dome of progressive heaviness, it’s a beautiful transition. The vocals are very unique throughout with various chants, clean singing and even some heavy punkish tones, which makes for an unusual listen.

Seasons of Uiu is not your typical space rock album. There are no 21 minute tracks that take 10 minutes to build or wasted dead space, these guys get right into it. They possess a patience that allow for dramatic contrasts that makes this album open for anyone who celebrates heavy and progressive music.

Track Listing:

1. Andorayd 08:57

2. Blehavoyance 06:44

3. C.M.H 06:37

4. Seasons of Uiu 08:15

5. Dead 03:54

6. СЛАВА 04:21

Standout Track:

”Seasons of Uiu” is a stellar progressive track with terrific vocals and builds ups. They even dive into Post-rock territory. The last two songs are extremely heavy and all out entertaining. These two back-to-back tracks took us by surprise , but help elevate the album.

Adult Beverage Pairing:

We’re sticking with a space theme. Grab some Space Camper Cosmic IPA by Boulevard Brewing Co. The 5.6% ABV IPA has a slight bitterness and bursting with tropical fruit flavors and aromas of nectar and citrus.
