Genre: Black Metal
Sounds Like: Bell Witch

The duo from the Netherlands, Plague Organ bring us their one track full-length debut of experimental black metal entitled Orphan. Frankly we were dumbfounded by the percussion perspective. Like an annoying set of keys trapped in a dryer, torturous drum loop just drowns out any semblance of well rooted black metal. The incessant overbearing rhythms dominate the majority of this track and for that reason we are out. It is a head-scratcher as there are some positive sonic movements both vocally and fretwork enabled but the listener is just pummeled with monotony.

Adult Beverage Pairing:
Offset this brutality with a nice pile of french fries and mayo accompanied by Alpha Ada Pils at 5% ABV Tobacco, sweet and citrus aroma; sweet/bitterish taste with tobacco and honey aromas; bitter finish with tobacco, pepper and butter aromas
Final Thoughts: Sorry, we at times get the experimental artistic expressive angles, but the repetition here is very difficult to grasp and endure.
