Grave Bathers (Death Hand)
Crank this to 8.3 of 11
Released: 2020
Genre: Stoner Rock
Sounds Like: The Sword, Mountain Witch, LaGoon

Straight out of Philadelphia, Grave Bathers hit the scene with some fuzzy stoner rock laced by occult themes and bluesy swagger. The new quintet already show great chemistry as this EP makes for one hell of a quick ride; it's groovy, sludgy with tons of glorious fuzz. Singer Drew Robinson has a raw tone and seems to really dig the role as lead vocalist, plus he can hold a note when needed. Though it's only two songs, we have become instant fans and can only hope for a full length in 2021.
Tracklist:
1. Feathered Serpent 05:51
2. Death Hand 06:40
Standout Track(s)
Tough call for a two song EP, just get this one. It's a 'Name Your Price' at Bandcamp.
Adult Beverage Pairing
Conehead IPA by Zero Gravity Brewing in Vermont. This 5.7% IPA is crisp, hoppy and well rounded. A nice companion with Grave Bathers.

Final Thoughts
It's extremely tough to release a two song EP and stand out in this genre. Grave Bathers do a nice job of giving us some original fuzz to add to our heavy collection. This music deserves to be heard live, so as soon as this covid mess is behind us, we'll be on the look out for these guys on the road.
