Stoner Doom
Sounds Like:
Electric Wizard, Salems Pot, Devil's Witches
Thursday, August 16, 2018
Wait! Quality doom from New Jersey? You bet. Hailing from the town of Maplewood in Northern NJ, Green Dragon unleash a blend of occult-styled and stoner doom on their debut self-titled album. Upon first listen we assumed they had to be from the Midwest, U.S. or Europe, we don’t often hear such quality doom originate from the Garden State and its about damn time.

Green Dragon hone in on the lo-fi end of doom, think early Electric Wizard meets Salems Pot. Vocalist Zack Kurland has this early Jus Osborne style, the vocals are always a bit muffled and hazy. Green Dragon my not hide their Electric Wizard and Sabbath influences, yet their is something original about them. We urge all you doom followers to join us and take a ride on the Green Dragon to explore the occult rock that has been bestowed upon you.
